Universal Classifier
The universal classifier belongs to the category of so-called air classifiers or turbo classifiers. It uses airborne principle to transport the feed material into the classifying chamber where a rotating wheel is installed. This type of classifier makes a wide range of cut points and easy and exact adjustment of the cut point by variation of the classifying wheel speed. Therefore, this type of classifiers dominates the market of powder processing for almost every product. A further advantage is that this type of classifier is characterized with “hard classifying features”. That means, the fluctuation of the feed rate almost does not shift the cut point. This performance predestines this type of classifier to be used with a grinder to form a grinding-classifying-circuit.
